Matthew Tiscione was born in Schenectady, NY. His motherwas a schoolteacher and his father owned a well-known pizzeria. It was while working with his father that Matthew first found his love and appreciation for good food. He helped the family business throughout his high school years until he moved to Florida. There he went to college, and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. After graduation, Matthew moved back to Schenectady and opened his own pizzeria. While operating his pizzeria, he understood how important is was to give back to his community. He held a board position on the Rotterdam Industrial Development Agency to help bring new businesses into the town where vacant buildings were becoming eyesores. He also held various positions, such as a trustee and orator, on the board of the largest Sons of Italy in New York State, Gabriele D’Annunzio Lodge #321. For the last 13 years, Matthew has been employed by NYS ITS. He married an Italian girl that moved to this country in December of 2000. Together, they have a family with two handsome boys. Together, they enjoy many family dinners and understand the importance and privilege of coming together at a dinner table.
